Theatrical distributor Area23a has just partnered with Revenge of the Electric Car to bring the film to major cities nationwide this fall. "We're very excited to announce our partnership with Area23a for our theatrical release at Silverdocs," says director Chris Paine.  "Area23a has a strong team that understands the changing distribution model for documentaries.  2011 marks the return of the electric car to the world and I'm happy ’Revenge’ will be able to bring that story to people this fall.”

But if you live in New York City, you won't have to wait until fall to see the film.  The New York City Mayor's Office has partnered with Nissan to bring a special advance screening of the Revenge of the Electric Car to Central Park on July 12th!  Here are the details:

When:  July 12th, 2011 7:30pm-10:30pm (film screening starts at 8:30pm)
Where:  Central Park Naumberg Bandshell (south of Bethesda Fountain at 71st St)
Cost:  FREE
